Loading Ramps & Platform Systems
Staff at Unique Van bodies have been manufacturing ramps and platform systems for many years.
We can offer and produce either traditional timber ramps with gritted surface area, or alternatively an
alloy plank construction with anti slip surface area. The alloy ramps are virtually maintenance free and have become very popular.
On either option, Ramp one locates into the side loading platform or the main body, incorporating a shoot bolt release fold down steel leg that acts as support for the second ramp. Ramp two locates into the end of the top section which secures it in position down to ground, thus providing smooth entry to the vehicle
On container type vehicles, we fit a pullout support system to each door, from which a side loading platform can be attached.
The side loading platform again can be produced in timber or alloy plank as above, the platform locates onto the pullout system to each door.
The two piece loading ramps above will position to the front, rear and at 90 degrees off the platform again, in any door position.
When designing your vehicle body, our careful planning enables us to store the ramps and/or platform in suitable storage areas.
We also manufacture car loading ramps, these being constructed as above, having an extra extension piece to give smooth entry for your car.
A 24 volt detachable winch facility with anchor point to the bulkhead / floor area can be fitted if desired.
The ramps are tested to withstand a 500kg Safe Working Load (SWL) with test certificate provided.
